Montessori Discovery Center

 The environment plays a major role in the child's development. It is the special preparation of his surroundings that brings success in the education of the child. The knowledge is in his environment, and he is free to explore and absorb that knowledge at his own interest and pace.
The main focus of the school is the classroom and the child's interaction with it. Montessori Discovery Center has 3 classrooms, each serving children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years of age. Every space offers a diverse mix of Montessori materials and jobs rich in cultural diversity and experiences. 

Miss Ann's Room
 While each classroom contains the same basic Montessori materials, they retain a unique atmosphere created by the teacher. Full of color and life, the child is wrapped in a sense of wonder and calm the minute they step through the door. Community development is greatly encouraged, and becomes the main force of the classroom. The children take ownership and pride in their environment, participating in the care of materials, plants, animals, and each other.
